Two more cabinet ministers, 5 state ministers sworn-in

President Maithripala Sirisena appointed two more Cabinet Ministers and five State Ministers yesterday morning bringing the Cabinet to 19 members.   

The following two new Cabinet Ministers and five State Ministers were sworn in by President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday.


They are: Susil Premajayantha, Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Justice, Bandula Gunawardena, Minister of International Trade Investment Promotion and Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, Minister of State of Finance, C B Ratnayake, Minister of State of Transport, Lakshman Wasantha Perera, Minister of State of International Trade Investment Promotion, S M Chandrasena – Minister of State of Social Empowerment and Salinda Dissanayake, Minister of State of Indigenous Medicine.   Two new cabinet ministers and a state minister took their oaths before President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday night.   

 

Three Ministry Secretaries were also appointed by President Sirisena yesterday. They are J. J. Rathnasiri as the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Justice, Mr. S.P. Kodikara as the Secretary to the Ministry of International Trades and Investment Promotion and Mr. R.W.R. Pemasiri as the Secretary to the Ministry of Highways and Road Development.   


Secretary to the President Mr. Udaya Seneviratne was also present at the occasion.
